Ipod Touch 16GB

I've just bought my daughter the above for christmas, and was wondering if it's possible to put her some games / apps on this without going through itunes?

i'm totally new to apple stuff, so appreciate all help please. I have searcherd through here, but found nothing of relevance.

yes but it needs to be jailbroken

Jailbreak it and you will see the installer on your itouch menu. Then using the installer you can install all kinds of games and apps for free

yes warranty wil be void, but if u install unbroken software then its back to being in warranty

had a little look into this but on hackulous it say the new ipod touch cant be jail broken yet?.am i missing something? (hopefully) got g/f one for xmas and want to hack it to bit but new to apple stuff.cheers Rob

The 2nd gen itouch can't be jailbroken yet only the 1st gen and iphone
