    Default What DVD/Divx player?

I'm buying my dad a divx player for xmas and want to make sure the one I get him will play everything I download.

I've seen this one at scan which looks OK. Anyone got one or heard anything about them?

And then there is this one which seems to play more things?

I've downloaded every episode of Deep Space Nine which is over 100gig so i'd be gutted if they didn't work on it lol

Cheers for the heads up but thats no good for my dad. He just needs the DVD player to fit in slot in his unit. He wouldn't want speakers etc. He's still using his 15 year old Toshiba TV and is still a bit unsure about getting a DVD player

lol at PS3 and xbox1, i've already got a PS3 and use that for my avi's but can't see myself forking out for one for my dad any time soon! I was going to get the sumvision one but will try and find a Phillips one instead. I've got a Phillips divx player in the bedroom at the mo but feel a right pikey giving it to my dad for xmas lol

    Yep, it's the dogs.

Your be able to put all the video's on a shared drive and stream them across the network. Or do what I did and stick a massive HD in the Xbox and copy all my videos directly to it.
