    Help Kingston data traveller

I have a Kingston data traveller 4gb flash memory that appears to have stopped me from transferring data from the PC. I can't even delete whats already on the flash memory.

I've tried reformatting and using my other PC but to no avail.

I was just wondering if there's any clever software out there that can fix this problem? I know they're not much to purchase but just curious really before I bin it.

    Any help appreciated

    cheers

I had a similar problem with a 1gb Kingston data traveller and solved by following this method...

Open disk management (Right click "My computer" > choose "Manage" > Disk Management):

In disk management - right click the drive > delete the partition/drive.
Then right click the drive again > choose "New partition" and follow the wizard.

worked for me and might be worth trying before you bin it.

    Thanks

I feel your guiding me through Vista. I'm still on xp sp3

I've tried formatting it, removing driver and reinstalling not it's not having it.

Keeps telling me that it's write protected.
