Let us know what you think of it. I'm due a new phone a few months and i'm already thinking about what type to get. N96, N85, iPhone or something else.
Got mine on monday, absolutely love it.
Can't believe there's not much discussion about them on here.
My thoughts on the g1 after 2 days..

Returned it due to the lack of basic features and cudnt be arsed to wait for updates
Wicked phone, i was considering the iPhone and Htc Touch HD. My GF has an iPhone so i already know what they're about. The Windows mobile phones look good but seem to have a missing element. It doesnt matter how much you dress them up with touch flo 3d its still windows mobile underneath. Not great. The G1 is kinda where WM should be. I'ts got a few small bugs, no bigger than the average WM phone, but theres alot to come over the next few months. Android Market place alone is more than a good enough reason to get this phone. It's as slick as an iPhone but with much more freedom. Havent looked back since i bought it last week.
I just got my G1 a few days ago. The battery life was initially bad (4 hrs between recharges) however after conditioning the battery and switching it to 2G instead of 3G (with auto sync on, gps and wifi off) I am now at 14hrs usage with 50% battery left.
The camera is (obviously) pants compared to my old N95 but due to it being open source I can see the potential in the phone and the platform as a whole. Someone needs to come out with a decent email client asap.
I just need to decide by next Tuesday if I am going to keep it.
Have decided to return the phone. The battery life was the killer for me.
im sure the phones great, but it looks god awful.
I was touched by Jesus, so i had him arrested.
