exactly mate, i bought the old one on platinum for 9 quid just to see what the fuss was about and think it's kak compared to r2. I'm yet to give it a proper play as I'm trying to concentrate on one game at a time.

I think it should be treated as a seperate game and not really a follow up, cos it really is very different

hmmm well i've just gone back to it and im still left feeling disappointed
just blown up the big ship.
silly little things like the sound effects being a bit lame, shotgun sounds like pea shooter,despite having a dts soundtrack it doesnt sound too clever.rumble hardly in use.little things that make games more immersive missing
graphically its a very mixed bag too - really bad textures in places , but good frame rate
anyone else find the picture really dark in places? , i have a sony 40w4000 which has been calibrated , and everything else looks good.
its just not sucking me in like others have......but i will keep playing it as it cost me 35. killzone 2 next :-)

I find the sound very dull aswell i use my surround sound and stily found it dull. thats what put me off really seems really quiet and no atmosphere.

im only running thru an old sony amp and I found the sound to be mostly bob on. The only complaint I did have is that when my character was speaking, I didnt know it was him and thought it was one of the others !

i bought (well swapped) this game off maltloaf and i was surprised after all the negative comments on here, i dont think the graphics are ps2 quality at all

i am fuckin LOVING it, i am actually enjoying it MORE than i did the first one, i think its brilliant

my only complaint was that u can only carry 2 guns at a time LOL, but malty told me to stop thinking of it as a follow up and treat it as a seperate game, just blew up the massive space ship.
