I went with the 2nd option because I feel we live in option 3 (by and large) and I honestly feel corporate ownership is going to lead to a huge problem. As has been said, ideally we would be somewhere within 2 & 3 and not totally on one side.

To sum it up in a sentence - I want to live in a meritocracy where hard work and enterprise are rewarded and the strong take care of the weak. The problem with all social models (communism, socialism etc..) is that they are never allowed to function in their purest state, as long as humans are falliable there will always be corruption (as beautifully illustrated in Orwell's book, Animal Farm).
