    Default Birds Of Prey

Went to Delemere Forest this afternoon with the family. There were some birds of prey and managed to get a couple of reasonably close shots. Both taken with Nikon D70s and 18-200VR.

great stuff. Were these bad boys just stood around the place? They weren't at a bird sanctuary or anything? Very good captures if wild!

The birds were sat on perch about 6 feet away. TBH didn't want to get within the range of the beaks/claws so tended to keep to a safe distance.

    These look amazing.

Went to a bird of prey show when I was on holiday last year (Zoomarine, Algarve) and loved every minute of it.

There was also a woman with a Tawny Owl in our local shopping centre (Braehead) during the week, they're amazing creatures.

going to get myself down to mid wales some time next year to get some shots of the red kites
the best we can manage up here are common buzzards and kestrels and the odd marsh harrier
