Is this a decent laptop for the money? Always had Dells before so not sure about other makes.

its not bad for daily use i.e. word, excel and surfing the internet it will even comfortably handle photoshop and happily burn dvds etc..

my only concern would be the ati graphics card, these are renowned for running really hot and reaching high temps but if anything did happen it comes with a 1yr guarantee..

For the money you can't go wrong and would be pushed to find something on a similar level...

Although in I.T. these days it been about intel core duo for the last 15months, the amd turion x2 dual core is not a bad chip at all...

If I had a spare £400 I would be very interested..

I bought an Asus a7u 17" with 3 g ram, turion dual core, 250g hdd and ati graphics back in June for £399...2 yr warranty as well. I`d be tempted by this offer, but would be inclined to shop around a bit first.

I think I will wait till after Christmas as there might be some good deals then! Unless searching about finds a good deal I am happy with.
