rename links??

How do I rename links rather than just having something like http://digital-forums.com/newthread....newthread&f=14How do I rename this so it could say digital chat for example.

I take it you mean when you are posting here?
When you are posting a reply or writing a new thread, first find the link you want to insert, probably by going to the page, highlight the address , right click and choose 'Copy'.

Now choose new post or if adding a reply choose 'Go Advanced' When you come to the point where you want the link, click on the icon, 5th from the right above the place you type the reply in, I cant really describe its appearance :nowords: , but when you hover the mouse over it, it will say 'Insert Hyperlink'. Type in say 'World's Most Popular Search Engine' , click OK, then paste in the link you copied earlier e.g. http://www.google.com and you will get World's Most Popular Search Engine

Yeah so did I. I was aware of what icon it was but on other programmes I've used it normally asks for the url and then what name you'd like to give it. On here you have to post the url and then select the url and then rename it after it's posted.

Hope I've made sense...I've had a few vodka's so probably not.

I've just always typed

 Visible link name

Bollox, rapping it in code tags don't work

basically to make the abpve I typed

Xurl=www.digital-forums.comY Vsible Link Name X/urlY

but replace X with [ and Y with ]
