    Question Batch Unrar AND rename?

Might be tricky to explain but here goes,

I have a folder with say 1000 folders inside, all the folders have the correct filename for whats in them.
Inside each folder there is one rar file.
The problem however is that the actual unrar'ed file is abreiviated, eg. if the folder its in is called 'Who wants to be a millionaire' the file will be called 'wwtbam'. So when you have 1000 abreiviated files its hard to tell whats what.
I could unrar and rename each file individually but this would take ages and I really cant be arsed to do that.
So....Is there a way to unrar 1000 files and have them automatically renamed to the folder they are in?

Tis from newsgroups but the nzb is for one rar file that then contains one folder that then contains 1000's of folders that each contain the rar files. My newsbin pro can do as you say but only if the nzb's are for each individual file or folder. Also as Ive already got 32Gb worth of files I'd rather not re-download anyhow.

Probably easier to re-download than fix that TBH, but if you are sure you want to do it maybe look at autohotkey?

There are command line unrar tools and you can rename at the command line so this would probably be the way to go

    Okay little update,
Have used a prog called extract now which has extracted all the rar files into there original folders and deleted the rar files. So now I have a load of folders (correctly named) with the extracted (incorrectly named) files. All I need now is a batch renamer that can use the folder names to rename the contents.

    Edit...
Found a program called Advanced Renamer 2.57. Tis free and has done exactly what I wanted.
