    Photos Scenes From Guantánamo Bay

During a military judicial hearing on Monday in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and four other detainees charged with coordinating the attacks of September 11th told Judge Col. Stephen Henley that they wished to stop filing legal motions and to confess in full. However, some of the detainees hedged their statement - suggesting they might change their minds if they could not be assured of execut1on. By January, some of the nearly 250 men at Guantánamo Bay Detention Facility will have been locked up for seven years. Collected here are photos of the multiple detention facilities at Guantánamo Bay - all photographs either reviewed by or released by the U.S. Military. (30 photos total)

Great pics man but makes me very angry. Imprisoning people for 7 years without trial. Exactly the same as what our goverment did in Northern Ireland and they called it internment.

America thinks they can invade other countries because of their unfair regimes but then impose unfair ones themselves. The problem is no country is strong enough now to stand up to them. Double fucking standards the bullies.

Yeah of course it does. Didn't you read about the poor bloke who was cracking up a few months due to the psychological hammering he was constantly getting. Apparently there's quite a few attempted suicides too.

The only thing that made me think it may not be propaganda was the first paragraph, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was written at a level for dumb yanks who would read it and think that the whole process is working rather than thinking suicide by proxy.

I think after being locked in for seven years in those conditions i'd have confessed to anything.
