does anyone know how to unlock the LG PRADA phone, at the moment theres no unlocking solution by cable, but many people on ebay have theirs unlocked, anyone know??

The only way that I know of is to send them to a very reputable guy, to China.

The ones on ebay must have been unlocked pror to despatch m8.

I should think so m8, but I would ring them just to check as some LG handsets need to be patched (flashed) to enable the code menu. But this would then invalidate any warranty you would have.

contacted orange yesterday and charged me £20, i guess its a reasonable price since you cant unlock it on the streets, fools told me it will take 7-10 days to recieve the code and instructions by email from them!

Thats sounds great - I want to unlock my phone too - did they say if it would need a cable patch?

dont have a clue mate, all i was told that they will send me an email with instructions on how to unlock it. soon as i recieve the email ill let you know.

If they are just sending the code out to you then there wont be any further modifications needed to the handset.

just got the email from orange unlocking department, theres a code they give you that a secret menu pops up, from there you enter the unlock code. gona wait 2nite for my bro to sort it out since it asks for a password, probly his sim password. if theres a chance this works for others ill unlock for £10, very doubtful since orange provide you the unlock code and that could be unique.

This forum is for free help, not charging others for a code that you only paid £20 for.

But this code wont work on any other handsets anyway as it is generated from the IMEI number of the handset.

orange are fu*kin retards, in the instructions it says "Enter Password", what Fu*kin password?!! i decided to phone them and boy they know Nothing about phones! some geeza told me to enter two passwords he gave me and still didnt work, and in the end he said we'll contact you in the next few dayz.

Now thats just being silly. As already stated there are no free solutions for these handsets.

The fact of the matter is that you offered to sell a code for 10 GBP to anyone who wanted it, yet you only paid 20 GBP for it.

Personally I dont charge a penny for unlocking phones for forum members and all my equipment and jiffy bags have cost me over1,000 GBP.

Lets keep this thread sensible please.

On the screen which should say insert the right sim card, press call and then type in the code as if you were typing in a number, i've heard that as soon as you type the last digit it either automatically unlocks or you're given a menu. Is there anychance i could know what your unlock code is because i also need to unlock mine but have not got a code?

Wow...

Any codes will be handset specific and won't work on another phone. They are generated based on your IMEI number.
