Obviously no fix is going to work on all boxes, rap was talking majority, but if you used the rrod pads and xclamp fix it should sort it. To date I have had one box that keeps rrod'ing after both fixes applied.

Mines just 3RL, was playing Rock Band one minute, turned it off, watched 1st half of footy, went to turn it back on and dead - no signs or anything.
It is under warranty by MS as this is a replacement from about a year ago, but the online thing says its not.

Anyway, what the best option, send back to MS and get a new one and flash the drive, or get the fix done to it?
I live near ************* so would probably use him as he`s been recommended.

Seeing as the Lite-on can now be done with ease if you know how to flash send back to M$, also the Lite-on is supposedly the best drive to date.

I did me mates with xclamp fix thought the bottom of the case with the rrod pads and it was workin well for about 9 months worked out quite well.

Then i also plugged the fans in to a 12v supply to keep it that extra cool.

i found that putting the bolts though the bottom of the case keeps the board more level and then it should keep it going well.

    Update on mine..
Got home this morning (stayed at friends last night) and tried it, and hey presto its been on for the last 30mins with no problems whatsoever - how weird.

I`ll keep my eye on it for signs (lines, artifacts, freezes etc) but as I said there have been none of them, it was simply "working - 3RL - working"...

My secondary code was "0020 - Not known possibly overheating", so I did think maybe one of the internal fans might have packed in and now its cooled down its ok, but we shall see.
