    I got one of these last Christmas when they were £25 from ebuyer. It's quite chunky at the back and the viewing angle of the screen is quite poo, for the price it's ok though. I didn't want to spend the extra £25 at the time for a similar one off of ebay.

    What sort of energy do these pull? They seem very wasteful to me, aren't they also distracting?

    12 volts/1.5A, that's what my 8" frame is powered by anyway, so not much at all. I don't find it distracting either.
