A mate needs some help

He never got the key and i flashed the firmware by mistake with the hacked firmware without the key what can u do

he also told me this

so far i read that the mobo has the key also and if i can get the key from there then i can add it to the dvd drive firmware

As far as I know you can't read the key from the motherboard yet... so make it 3rl and send it back to M$

Sounds bricked mate, can't retreive the key from the mobo at the moment. So you didn't dump the FW before you flashed the new one?

As above send to M$ with unhacked FW and hope for the best.

So, you flashed it wth Hacked firmware straight away? So you didn't make a dump of the original then? If you did make a dump of the original then just open it using Toolbox.

Depends... did he flash a hitachi? if so, then the key is still extractable. Any other drive, you're fucked ;o

yeah dont most drives when you flash them require you to dump the original key first???

If he flashed it without a dump then it might well be the hitachi because iPrep doesn't allow a write before backup on benq and samsung. MTKflash and dosflash will though...
