Replacement PS3 motherboard

Hi all

Anyone know where a replacement 40gb PS3 motherboard can be obtained? My cousin needs one, no idea why, too afraid to ask what he's been doing to it too. Any ideas? Cheers.

I actually have the full story now. He got rather drunk on his homemade vodka (no, I don't have the recipe) and mistook his PS3 for the toilet! He's cleaned it all out but oddly enough it doesn't work!

bbk i read a in a few places even out of warranty etc they will still repair your ps3

They wil lrepair out of warranty but the warranty sticker needs to be in tact, however the way they exchange is on your doorstep without checking the warranty sticker so who knows what would happen if you accidentaly handed them the console with no warranty sticker Call them up and say it either turns on then off right away. Or the yellow light turns on (YLoD).

LOL I had a ps3 repair in the shop today..... Said was water damage, but not a lot of water was spilled in it............

Oddly enough I fixed it

Plenty of Isopropanol to get rid of the piss and then reflowed the dry joints and voila hey presto it works.

Shame about the pissy smell whilst playing though
