Got a soft touch for Mk2 escorts and triumphs ,love most of the range ,is that a dolomite in the image ?

As for the Morris Marina ,nearly got killed in a Maxi when i was a kid ,the kingpin fell out on the motorway sending the car into a horizontal spin .As for the Viva ,i saw someone trying to steal one that never had an engine in it (they tried to bump start it lmao) .

    Nice escort.

I love the way half of them are missing passenger side wing mirrors. I know it wasn't a requirement back then but wtf were manufacturers thinking? FFS it must have cost them no more than £5 (in todays money) for a wing mirror so why not put one on and at least make it symmetrical?

Don't let Top Gear see the pic of the Marina as they might burn it or something.

Never liked mini's. There isn't much room in them for me.

Love the Escorts. I had quite a few Mk 2's. I just followed a white one today on the old "R" plate.

Never seen a Chevette for years.

Nice one for the pics. Even though I'm relatively young, I prefer old cars with character rather than most of the bland, anonymous, bloated stuff we get these days.

Don't know why, but I've always wanted a dolly sprint, preferably with the bodykit you could get for them.

Seeing these photos makes me wish I had kept photos of my old cars, and you probably feel the same about not keeping the old escorts
    Spoiler:
I hear they are worth a few quid these days

What was the Fuego like? I remember them when I was well little and thought they looked great. They were all gone long before I was old enough to even dream about driving though

3l turbo! I only thought they were 2l tops. Did those ones also have gold stripes or something because as soon as you said lotus version for some reason gold stripes popped in my head.

Thanks for that - I thought smoking weed had destroyed my memory but it can't be that bad if I can remember details like that from cars that were around when I was around 4 years old.
