Nope... they've signed Allerdyce for 3 years.

Not a bad move for them.

I like Allardyce, and I reckon he'll get some time at Blackburn to prove himself, unlike at Newcastle.

when blackburn come to villa they knocked it around well and were quite physical i thought. i didn't see a lot wrong really, and on paper when they have santa cruise and benny mcCarthy, pederson etc they are a decent mid table club I thought they panic'd a bit too early. obviously they were thinking about allerdyce and when sunderland needed a new manager they thought they'd loose him if they didnt sack him when they did.
some of his decisions were a bit dodgy and bringing in fowler.

    sackings to soon these days.

i agree that incey could have done with a bit more experience tho. he'll be back like keano.

a good result getting Sam tho - I think its his kind of club

Jesper Blomqvist is a player-coach for a 2nd string Swedish side, Alex McLeish is managing Birmingham, Mark Robins at Rotherham, Henning Berg is at Lillestrom (as from Jan 1st next year anyway). I'm guessing there may be others too - of your list above I would never have got the last two - people who maybe didn't play so many games and you wouldn't associate with United. Would be interesting to find out a conclusive list.
    your forgot Carlos Queiroz !
