My brother's DS Lite has decided to give up the ghost outside of its warranty period

I was looking to replace it as a surprise birthday present which of course is no big deal, but my family lives in France and as such bought the DS Lite there. My question therefore is: is it safe or even possible to plug in the French charger from the original DS Lite into a brand new UK model? Are there any voltage issues to worry about if I use a UK -> Europe adapter?

TIA for any help guys

P.S. As the Euro is shite at the minute, it works out cheaper to buy it in the UK.

Yeah should be OK. I bought a US DS from Ebay a while ago. Threw the charger away and got one from Toys R Us, works perfectly.
