Faulty 360 xbox (console only) £35 inc next day p&p

I have had 5 of these, they are from Teleplan, Telepaln are a microsoft repair center, all the one's I have had just needed the x clamp removing or 2 of them worked fine straight out the box.

that's pretty reasonable really, when i was looking at how much my red lighter was worth they can go for up to 50 quid + postage

Wow top post, I may actually buy myself one even though I had no real plan to. Whats the cheapest I can get all the other bits and pieces?

you can use an atx supply for the psu (with an adaptor) or buy a real ms psu for about 25 and a s/h wired pad is about 14 quid and whatever av lead you want is 4 quid delivered off ebay so under 80 all in - as long as you get it working of course

Even if I don't, sounds like some fun having a fiddle. Think I'll scour the net for some cheap bits, if I can find them cheap enough, may just order one.

yeah getting the other parts dampens the deal a bit unless you can find them dirt cheap. I've just ordered one cos the one i was messing with has gone disco. I'll have another go for 35 quid.

All the one's I had were not banned, keeping one as a spare, like you say the down side is the extras take the total to about 80 quid in all with console.

i dont think they are from a Microsoft repair center, been buying of this guy for a while its from computer exchange.

yep, these are definatly from computer exchange, some still have stickers on them saying CEX

yeh they probably do test them but sometimes the red light problem only comes up after a while so people probably take advantage of this.

oh yeah, sorry bout that.

We are assuming that they will come as RRoD machines so the xecuter fix kit or an xclamp kit (or both) should get them running again. You will need to overhea tthe machine afterwards to remelt the solder in either case but as long as you know which end of a screwdriver to use, its a piece of piss.
Bear in mind that if you do buy one and its unfixable, sticking it back on ebay would get you your money back easily.
