    Default Manchester United WORLD CHAMPIONS

if we win the final match on Sunday.

TBH, it's still a bit of a micky mouse cup, but to be fair the tournament was very much still in it's infancy and when the European Cup first started, it was viewed pretty much in the same light.

Real Madrid still rely on a large number of EC wins in the 50s (five of them) for their current overall kudos.

No doubt Utd can start selling a new kit if its a win on Sunday.

Bit premature! I mean FFS we just conceded 3 goals to a weak Japanese club side. Yes, we scored 5, yes, we were 5-1 up, but come on, there's still a team from Ecuador standing between us and being World Champions!

The whole competition is rigged! Look at the season Liverpool had 4 or 5 goals disallowed in a match (which coincidently they lost...)

That a good point BBK and its not the first time Utd have conceded 3 goals to a team this season....Hull and Blackburn. These kind of results will only give confidence to the top 3 when they visit OT

i watched the game live and if the japanese had anything like a half decent defence utd could have been in trouble,i think utds defence is gonner be thier downfall this season they seem to be leaking goals.

Just to remind you that united have kept 5 clean sheets in a row in the premier league, so i dont think there is an issue of leaking goals, i mean just because they conceded 3 in a game which they were comfortable in doesnt mean its a dodgy defence, just menas they took their foot off the pedal and concentration levels dropped.

We should have been 6 up at half time, it shows how poor our striking is at the moment that it took us until the 73rd minute to score.

Still, World Champions has a ncie ring to it, 2 trophies already this year, not too shabby!

I think that is just a tiny bit on envy going on there by u jimbo, doing what liverpool couldnt do 3 years ago, just remember it doesnt matter who u play in these competitions, they are still competitions and there to be won. United went there did the job got the trophy and now will come back to resume normal service against stoke in a few days time.
