Default Doesn't seem a 'credit crunch' here..

Don't know what it's like elsewhere, but I went in town last weekend and it was manic in almost every shop, and again went in today and it's the same. Loads of people overloaded with bags etc. I imagine it's discounts doing a lot but it just doesn't seem to be any less spending or crowds than any other year since I've lived here.

And no, they weren't all woolworths bags lol..Anyone notice a difference in their town?

This "credit crunch" is just a blind panic caused by the manipulation of the media by the Global Elite/ Bilderberg group.

It's just a way of controlling inflation, monopoly and the New World Order!

To be honest, this credit crunch seems to have been nothing but good for me. Everything is going down in price, my mortgage is cheaper than it's ever been, the property I let out is never empty and the Engineering company I work for is actually paying out a bonus in April for the first time in it's history.

I'm touching wood (oo-er!) whilst typing all this of course, but so far I really cannot complain.

it's not a matter of being bleak as you put it, it's a matter of 'getting a grip back on reality.

fucking credit crunch, bring it on, should bring a few people back down to earth.

The only people this credit crunch is hitting is the big money makers and in turn the little people further on down the line are being effected by the greed of the fat cat.

I've not been effected at all and if people look after there money and dont panic then what do we have to worry about.

I feel sorry for the working man/woman in the street who are loosing there jobs because of the knock on effect its having.

    Keep smiling.

I think the people who took out mortgages way above their earnings to buy an overpriced property will suffer more.

Their lovely 150k home they worked so hard to pay for suddenly now leaves you with negative equity and half the price to buy it now. This will then cause it to filter down to the high-street.

It's a buyers time now, weather it be nappies in Woolworth's or a country retreat in the Cotswold's.

    Roll on 2009.....

FFS why is it always the people that have over stretched and borrowed more that are being targetted.
Here in the Midlands Land Rover have gone on a long holiday, for every worker there there are 10 more in supply chain. These have also now been forced to go on a 'long holiday'
Now, anybody that bought in the last 2 years could be right royally fucked through absolutely no fault of there own doing. Not over borrowed nor overstretched, until now. Now they have no income, & negative equity.

On the other side of the coin - shopping centres are feckin rammed, so cant be all bad.

If they bought a house to live in and the price tanks the next day, so what? They would have budgeted for their fixed mortgage or else now be enoying the drop in their variable mortgage payments.

The people who are royally screwed are the property speculators and every cunt who was hypnotised by Sarah Beany's pendulous hangers into thinking they could turn an East End hovel into a luxury condo.

Oh well, I guess if there was an upside to this recession its the fact that we won't be seeing these mugs for a long time:
