    Default Hard Drive Format Help

    I have got a Hard Drive for a laptop that has vista already installed which has not correctly completed the registration stage and can not be used. It's from another laptop going into mine but it seems the hard drive was not formated before i bought it.

    How can i format the drive and install my legal vista software opertaing systems?

    Any help appreicated

    Just fit the hard drive and run your vista install disc

    edit...
    install the hdd then set your bios to boot from dvd 1st with the vista disc in

    hard drive format its easy jut put vista cd in lab top and restart yor labtop when come up end cd flashing just pres enter and its start fomating
