Question 2 red lights overheating 360 help

Hi all, wondering if you could help. My 360 got the 2 red lights, overheating & loud fans, my mate sorted it with arctic silver (cpu) & new washers (heatsink), now when i play any game, it only lasts 5 mins without a whoosh from the fans & switching itself off with the 2 red lights again. i can turn it back on straight away & its fine...for another 5 mins
Before i give it back to him for another go at fixing it do you guys have any tips or ideas that could help,

    Thanks in advance

as above, that is whats wrong for sure, if you take it apart and press and hold the heat sinks down, bet the fans dont speed up and shut the box down.
    bad repair, try again lol

i had this last week - logged on xbox.com - arranged for UPS to collect last Thursday - checked last night and its already on its way back to me.

When i called UPS to collect - they offered me the same day.

All done just from the emails recieved from MS once i registered/requested a repair online.

I cant wait - its like waiting for christmas all over again!!
