Default Opinions on 2X Nvidia Quadro FX1700 SLI?

I've just got a 2nd hand computer which happens to have 2 x quadro fx1700's. I know brand new, these cards aren't cheap as they are optimised for professional gfx apps with new tweaked drivers constantly coming out. However, I hear they aren't that great for regular multimedia (I think a single one only scores 5.1 on that windows experience test thingy).

Bascially it could be handy for occasional cad use, but tbh I don't see myself doing much so it/they probably would be wasted.

I was wondering how df'ers think these two would compare to say a single fx1700, or a single fx570, but I suppose the main interesting one is how they compare against regular gfx cards - I suppose the absolute max I would be looking to spend is £100. I don't play games, mainly just internet surfing, although I would like ability to comfortably play hd vids on one screen whilst still having another usable display.

It appears that the FX1700 is the approximate gaming equivalent of an 8500GT, so almost any current card would be faster.

What's the rest of the spec like? Can't really recommend an upgrade without knowing what else it consists of.

Why does "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean
    the same thing?

PC's a dell precision t7400 with 2.66 quad core xeon, only 2Gb ram , but it has a 173Gb SAS drive Wasn't really looking to by a pc right now but got it as an ebay bargain - £430

I know the memory needs to be upgraded, and tbh I won't be upgrading gfx till next year some time - hopefully will be able to get a good deal then.

Also part of the reason for this post is because my little bro is coming home for a couple of days over xmas, I got him a t7400 as well but his only has a quadro fx570 and I was wondering if I give him one of mine how much of a noticeable difference it would make to mine.
