Patching Tomtom Home

Download correct file for the Navcore version on your Tomtom & save to PC. Unzip - select to 'HERE' - you will then have a folder named "Navcore.*.***.****". Open folder - you will find another folder named "Navcore.*.***.****@tomtom.com" (*.***.**** refers to your software version number). Copy the folder named "Navcore.*.***.****@tomtom.com" to the correct location on your PC - the folder may be a hidden folder - so go to :- TOOLS - FOLDER OPTIONS - VIEW - Select "Show Hidden Files and Folders" :-

XP Users:

Tomtom Home v1.x:-
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ApplicationData\TomTom\HOME\Navigator Dlls\

Tomtom Home up to v2.1 :-
C:\Programfiles\TomTomHome2\xul\plugins\emulator\navcore

Tomtom Home v2.2 - x.x :-
C:\Documents and Settings\????\ApplicationData\TomTom\HOME\Profiles \????.default\extensions\Navcore.?.?????@tomtom.com

Vista Users:-

C:\Users\???????\AppData\Roaming\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\?????????.default\extensions\Navcore.?.?????@tomtom.com

Mac Users:-
User's_Home/Library/ApplicationSupport/TomTomHOME/Profiles/????????.default/Resources/Extensions/Navcore.?.???.????.mac@tomtom.com/?-???- ????-/.framework

What tomtom unit have you got ? There are a few different patches available for 7.903

Or you could try to use this tool to patch your ttsystem file -

I think you install TT home from their website and then overwrite some files with the files in Russ's post. Russ is the boy for this so wait for his reply to make sure.

No you can still use your tomtom without using tomtom home, but if you want to use the mapshare updates on your tomtom you will need to use a patched version of Home.

Got a buddy using windows seven and he says the path to the .dll is the same as for vista.....Downloading 7 now to try myself....

Applied patch to TT Home 2.5 but it tells me there are no maps found when I go to Operate My TT?

Strange that....... because using your FANTASTIC guides in other posts I've managed to update my TT Go 500 to App version 8.011 and my UK&ROI map to Ver 810.1870?

Any clues Russ?.... Although I'm happy enough without that particular function
