I'll be 'working from home' due to the snow.
Time to make a snowman!

Yep no school for me today, I guess the kids won't be eating yellow snow cones then
I actually tried and everything. Got up early, no buses which I need to get to train station. No cabs, well I'm not getting one for at least a couple of hours I've been told. My mum offered to give me a lift to the station but back end of her merc was sliding all over the place so we've decided to head back. Car kept getting stuck and had to scrape all the snow out from around the back wheels and push hard to get the thing going again.
What a shame
I think I will have to, loads of the tubes are delayed or suspended and the overground trains not working and busses are also not running so think its a no brainer really

Typical - opportunity for at least a day (maybe more) of "Professional Skiving" and I'm already at home on holiday, using up my days thanks to the stupit use em or lose em holiday rules we operate
I'm in work already and have been here from 7am. Bunch of skiving pansies.
Being a contractor it's in my interest to work no matter what the weather. I don't work, I don't get paid. Things would be different if I was a permie. I'd be snowed in my road with no possible way of getting to work
I'm going in,by foot, i work only 10-15 mins away on foot.
Stinker.
Been in work since 6am slapped the motor in 4 wheel drive and in work 5 mins after setting off
Got up prepared to do the usual 40 mile commute, had a wander up to the main road before setting off to have a look and decided not worth it can work from home. Would have taken hours then probably even longer getting home, takes about an hour and a half in normal rush hour traffic.
Having come back from a snowboarding hol in Bulgaria yesteday, this is awesome. I'm heading off to the the town moor armed with my snowboard if my half day gets approved.
Any geordies care to join me.
There was fuck all snow last night in slough and wake up this morning and its everywhere:|..work have told me to stay in..
Got to High Barnet tube at 5.45, nothing moving so gave up and went home. No buses or grit on the roads, good old London!
Virtually nothing here at the mo...its forecast from 3pm onwards tho!
So my snow day will probably be tomorrow!
"Where you are is what you eat. When I'm in London I'll have beans on toast for lunch. On holiday what? Tapas? Go on then I'll have a bit. You eat whatevers in that area"

Almost 2 foot in Croydon.
Took me just over an hour instead of the usual 25 mins, had to pick up my bro as his motor got stuck (rwd BMW). My X5 took it all in it's stride.
I made it in because I am the boss and it's my company but if you drive to work and that means using snowed in back road, I wouldn't blame you for not bothering as it's a sure-fire way to an accident of some description.
Staying at home too as the schools I visit normally are closed. Not so good as no work = no pay but I'll make it up so I'm just going to enjoy the long weekend. :-)
working from home here
