ok this may already be poss and i have missed it but..

can the shoutbox be detatched so i can use it while browsing and not have to keep returning to the main page to view it..

i want to use it but always miss things so really never get involved....lol.

Yes it can be done it just needs setting in the Admin pannel to "Detach" which it isn't at this time

I sometimes have the shoutbox open on one tab and have another tab for browsing and the new posts button.

It's not a setting you can adjust it's something needs setting by admin to give you the detach option so it won't be available until they look at it and if they decide to activate it.

in your 1st reply you said yes it can be done..

now you say admin need to do it..

so do i need to request to have it done by admin (yourself) to get this option or

have i completley mis-understood you and i am not allowed this option..

I'm saying yes it can be done but it can only be done after Admin activate it as an option so until they look at the post and decide if they want it added as an option to the shoutbox you will be unable to do it.

4me2 has now enabled this feature so you can use the Detach button
