    Question Grabbing YouTube Videos

What do you lot recommend for grabbing YouTube videos? I remember before I had a small app that I could just paste the video URL and it would save it.

Ideally a freeware prog if there is such a thing. Also one that saves to a well known file format, not some random shite that i'll need a seperate player for.

    Any ideas?

MXTube used to work a treat on the iPhone. I've always used keepvid and then a flv convector to convert to wmv and then Nero to change to whatever format i wanted. Long way around but it was reliable.

Realplayer downloads them to your pc. Only works through I.E. at the moment. It did work through Firefox but it has not been updated to work with the newer version.

There is also this Media converter which downloads and converts it. You just paste the URL and choose the format.

    http://www.mediaconverter.org/

Also available as a Firefox add-on.
