Nooooo e74 error and i've lent my mate my spare till mid jan

had noticed online on cod4 over the last day or so that the graphics looked a bit odd where there was a car or something on the ground.

didn't think much of it till i just turned the thing on and got a frickin e74 error

i've already had one refurb, sold one and bought another and tbh can't really remember which one this is is there anyway of me finding out when the warranty runs out on this one without ringing ms?? or anyone have a good number for them?

is it best to try and get this 3rl using the towel trick??

read beermans post on this but his box is a fair bit newer (i think)

finally wheres doing the best deals on 360's at the min instore?? can't go 2 days without live

Log into xbox.com and got to support then register/repair my console (top right), in there you should have a list of serial numbers registered, if you click on them you get a warranty status option

edit: it says its still in warranty! so hopefully they'll sort it for me, or i'm wondering whether that just applies to the 3rl??

should i say its a 3rl when i ring em do you think?? also i now have another prob that there's no warranty sticker on the fucker:-/

2nd edit: just realised too that i can't find the orig firmware to restore the frickin drive, man i'm an idiot sometimes is there anyway of restoring from the ixtreme without the orig.bin?? its a sammy.

dude no need restore drive or worry about 3rl =just do the repair on line and in the box say it 3rl on ya after about 10 mins of play.

it was an original it wen't tits with anyway. are you saying you got yours repaired when you sent it back flashed with no warranty sticker, as its not really clear?

I sent one off just before xmas with a bricked drive in it looked like some cnut had opened it with a crow bar aswell (fleeBay jobby) strange though my old sn dissapeared on the site and a new one showed up before chrimbo, with no repair status and out of warranty, stayed like that until yesterday when it showed in warranty and device shipped to customer m$

So it looks like they couldn't give a rats ass, just want to do the shit and go home...
