Quick Live account question

I bought GTA4 for the PC the other week, that required me to sign up for a Games For Windows Live account to track achievements etc (I believe the PC versions of Gears Of War and Assasins Creed also use it). Ill be buying a 360 next week, and the question I have is will I be able to use the same account for Xbox Live, or link the 2 in some way, or will I have to have seperate accounts?

Ah right, thought they might be linked since to view my windows live account, I have to log in at xbox.com

Windows Live and Xbox Live are the same accounts mate, You can use your windows live account for xbox as well. I take it you set up a gamertag etc for the pc version? if so this carries across to your xbox 360 as well. Ive played GOW and Halo 2 on pc on my Live gamertag without having to setup a seperate account.

Sorry to hijack the thread guys but I have a similar query.

I have a 360 with two xbox live accounts on it. I have recently purchased another one and was wondering if I can use (transfer) one of my live accounts on it? Each time I try to access Live to sign in it only gives me the option to sign-up!

Any ideas?

Best thing to do is get a memory card, goto Memory under the system menu, look in Gamer profiles and you should see the save data for your two profiles. Pick the one you want to transfer and just select move to memory card and then save that profile onto your hdd on your other xbox.

Just found that out when I went to sign up for Xbox Live. Told me my email address was registered with a windows Live account, and asked if I wanted to recover the gamertag from it. But after putting all the info in the asked for, gave me a message saying Live signups are not available now, try again later. Will have another go in a bit.
