Wanted Remote Desktop Monitoring Software Wanted

    Hi Guys n Gals,

Im needing some software to let me remotley monitor another PC / Laptop on my home network.

This needs to be idealy a live solution, ie so I can monitor whats been done as its been done / typed, website visited, screen capture etc. logging could also come in handy too, but not essential.

All machines are Win xp based, but currently DHCP is being used, I can quickly change to static IP`s as i think this may be needed.

Just need pointing in the right direction for the software, and best ways of using it.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

Not a direct recomendation, but be aware if you are looking to do this on the sly that a lot of AV products will pick these tools up as a virus/concern, so you may want to check that when you load the tool

believe there are lots of tools out there to do what you are looking to do

If needs be for a week ill disable the AV, i just need to know if a certain someone is upto no good, all other machines on the network are fully AV / Firewalled up so dont really care if the suspect machine requires a rebuild afterwards.

installed work examiner in an office recently, doesn't do screen grabs but does do live, so you can see websites and what apps are open/ in use think there's a 30 day trial as well, its not bad as it gives you times in apps etc, plus you can push it out form your desktop.

But as above Symantec does pick it up but you have to just go in an add an exception then you can leave the AV running

I use logmein to monitor my lads browsing. The only problem is it sounds like you want to do this on the sly and logmein opens a pop up to say someone is watching. You can of course close this pop up but then the icon in the system tray still remains.

we used to use netsupport at work - there's a 30 day trial:

    http://www.netsupportmanager.com/

you can just set your connection window to "watching" so that the mouse doesn't move. We used it mainly for remote support, but it would do what you wanted to do (i think) - unless the trial is limited in functions

edit: we used an older version (8 i think) so i don't know how different version 10 is
