    Default Getting the update message

Getting the update message, so a few games are not working on my Pal console. It has 3.1e fw. Obviously dont want to do the update because of the warning of my modified console not working.
What is the best step for me, I dont know what chip is in it but its a 2 month old console

    Thanks

I think 3.3 only stops trucha signed games working 3.2 your ok with.install the homebrew channel now and you will be able to downgrade if you do update to 3.3.

have you been using brickblocker to remove the updates off the newer games?

Are you getting the update message via t'internet or on games?

I'm not sure about the ntsc update side of things but possibly until you update with one.
Download brickblocker and run them through that to remove the update some will still work without it.

Depends when the game was released as to which update it will have on it wiimusic for example is 3.3 i'm sure someone can tell you some games that have the 3.2 update on (i'm in the same boat as you a 360 man wii for the kids so i'm no expert).
I would recommend putting the homebrew channel on though you can get an iso for it seeing as your wii is modded so it's as easy as pie to install.

ok thanks, it seems sensible not to do any update through an NTSC game. I have been offered an online update aswell from the console when I connected it to my Wifi.
I wil download brickblocker late and try that

    thanks

I have read the 3.3 games have a lesser version of 3.3 (without the october update)
So I read about animal crossing... Just install the homebrew channel and you can downgrade.

But never use an update from a different region.

The internet update will be 3.4, I would say download animal crossing as it is tiny and update with that, then downgrade.

Im not sure why anyone would discourage you not to upgrade through the official online route....there is nothing on the newer firmware that would knock out any of the chips around...at least i've never heard of anything like that happening.

Stops Trucha Signing Games as well, e.g. modified games.
