The first shot is very striking Ghost, and HDR adds a nice dramatic touch, but on the larger version you can see a very slight overlap on the cranes where the alignment must have been slightly out. It's miniscul so doesn't really detract fromt he shot, just something to bear in mind for next time. Otherwise, it's great.

I don't like the pano at all though. The purple tint white balance you've got going doesn't work against the seriously manufactured orange sky. The whole thing is soft as well. I saw our sunset tonight, and it sure didn't look like that

You guys beat me to it .

I was also going to mention I noticed some softness to the first image. However, that is a beautiful image Ghost and although we ourselves down here in Liverpool are on a river, it just doesn't seem to offer the same amount of compositional opportunity that the Tyne does.

I guess if I were to head further up or down the river I may find some really cool opportunities.

Back to your images, the first one really is a stunner. Very good strong colours and lots of interesting detail in the shot.
The second one seems altogether a bit too dark and I must admit, I'm not getting the purple tint either.

Goes to show i've got a lot to learn about photography. I looked at those pics and thought "splendid". I really like the 1st one though, the sky is very cool. Shame about the crane but I'd never have noticed it if it wasn't for the others pointing it out. Top effort though, looking forward to seeing more shots this year Ghost

Stunning first shot ghost, lovely colours and that sky is just right for the backdrop of the cranes. Not to keen on pano as there seems to be a little to much of the same lilac colour dominating the image although i do like the stark contrast where the sun breaks through, maybe this image may have been better in a less panoramic view so then the foreground to the left would have been more in view ?

    A very striking first image.

Not to keen on the panorama. The purple is a bit too dark and the left hand side of the sunset does not seem to match the right side.

A couple of nice shots there mate, liking the first one better despite the crane issue ( there's also a slight amount showing on he grass to the right and the gas tower thingy too, but hey hoo), it's a great shot though with cracking colouration and a nice bit of foreground interest leading you nicely into that cracking background.
The second one is good but there's something just not right about it, think there's too much darkness either side of the orange middle. But it is good though. I know how hard pano's can be.
Also I donated you some cash to bring your total above a minus number. Don't waste it all at once.
