Credit crisis: 'The worst is over'

Steve Forbes, the publisher of Forbes magazine, is one of the few people remaining optimistic despite gloomy predictions about the global economy.
He talked to Matt Frei about how an economic recovery could be underway.

It's a video - I don't think you can embed BBC videos to other sites and I don't know how to do it on DF

For the publisher of Forbes magazine to come forward and say that I think is amazing. Yes he disagrees with everyone else, but he can't be in the position he is in without some sense. And him speaking out might cause some more hidden masses to speak up.

Even if they are wrong they could stir up enough public confidence in spending again to sort things out.

    OMG

a mate just pointed out the date on that is October 2008

The worst was clearly not over at that point - it hadn't even begun. I bet that guy feels like almost as much of a fudd as I do for posting this.

I don't think I can HOS or delete myself anymore since I let my VIP subs slide (its a recession don't you know) so it looks like I'll have to take this one like a man
