Java script host

Hey guys,

I been asked to transfer a website for a friend which i've done and uploaded it to my host Servage but ive just found out that they do not support Java

I only need it for one website!

Java or javascript? Javascript is client side, so its nothing to do with the host, just the browser the user is using to view the site. Many hosts will not support Java as a development platform on "cheapo" hosts (which most of us have).

Looks like .NET judging by the default.aspx file at the top, with javascript files being called. Trouble is most hosts don't provide .NET by default because it costs, unlike php and mysql. If your ISP doesn't allow that then there's nothing you can do other than rewrite the site. However, if I were you, I would rename that default.aspx file to index.html and see what happens, because looking at that file, its just html with javascript, calling other javascript routines. Of course there may be a lot more complexity in there, but who knows? Start at the beginning and see what happens

Its a start though. From what I could see you were looking at mainly css and javascript, so that's nothing to worry about, but you need to figure out what its doing and where, which files its calling in and if thats a .NET routine or not.

What's wrong with your ported version?

Looking at the pages, is just an HTML website calling scripts for the gallery and the contact form. What's not working?
