Why not try it and let us know
I heard that MS have put a dirty fix in Win 7 that will say everything is ok, then after a reboot your PC will also get 3 red rings and your be double fucked !!!
Don't need windows to do it - just use iprep to make bootable usb and use that to read / flash drive
even if it works now, it might be a different story by the time win7 hits RTM/Retail stage..
dont forget.. win7 is not finished and shouldn't be used as a main operating system.

Yeah like prezzy says, I wouldn't recommend doing it in windows at all, just boot to iprep.

yeah, it's a shame how low that thread went - I'm not here to bicker.
I'm not againt win7 at all, I have used it myself.. but how hard do you think it's gonna be when win7 does get released and someone tries to find a solution to a problem but most of the discussions are based around beta versions which could mean solutions may be different too..
I wonder if I do a search how many peeps jumped on the vista bandwagon and praised it to death, and how their opinion has changed now... but when you think about it, those who praised it then and think it's crap now are only follwoing what other people tell them.. vista has always been crap, but I rekon I could easy find some of you praising it solely because it was the 'latest and greatest'

nope never really liked vista but this is no vista anyway its off topic the question was can you flash a xbox on windows 7 and the answer for me anyway is yes
yeah, sorry for going off topic - wanted to clarify the situation as I (hope) I have good standing on this site, and I don't want people thinking I'm attacking members..
glad to hear your sorted anyway

you will need a workaround if you got 64bit though
nope was 32bit and was easy peasy lol
Why dont you get the key in dos, and then try to do it in windows 7. At least you cant brick a sammy and reflash it back in dos if it fails in windows 7.
Would be good to know
