Cheapest Domains

I need to register a .co.uk domain but whats the current cheapest? averaging around 6 quid for 2 years on most of the sites ove checked.

You want it cheaper than £6 for 2 years :O

tbh 123-reg seems to be cheap, reliable and the one to go for (for me at least) but it all depends if you want 'extras' in the form of space and bandwidth etc. If you do, try and get a deal package or if it's just a domain then £6 is about right

www.daily.co.uk with ya domain you get a free basic email box got over 15 domains with them and there good in all fairness!

They're also parternered / part of fasthosts, so they can do more if you need it

From personal experience, i would recommend staying clear of hosting companies that offer the domain as part of the package. I naively used 1and1 back in the day, and couldn't get a domain transferred away from them, or a reason as to why it couldn't be done

I had to cancel my account, and then wait for the domain to expire

I always keep my domains and hosting seperate for the same reason. If you have a dispute withthe host you can just change the dns servers and be back up and running asap. Been using 123 reg for years and can't fault them
