What a proxy ip cannot help me open a new account?

I registered an account in an internet forum. (Not here)
The forum prohibits a user to register a new account within 24 hrs.
I used to proxy ip and tried to open another account, but it won't work. I don't understand, how was it able to detect my ip??
What method can I use to open another account??

Because I was banned.
I'll try again, but I suspect some proxy ips are not truely anonymous, dunnot if that's the reason.

Good grief I cannot believe I am reading this. Most forums have software in them for checking ips, email addresses etc to stop returning members trying it on following a ban. How do you think we manage to keep the cunts out of here. I banned a guy 6 times in one day for reregistering. fucking retard thought he would get away with it as well...

Why you didn't say that in your OP I don't know. Forums can filter individual or group IP's. they can also see all IP's that a user has logged in from so you can ban access from multiple directions for one user based on their login history.
