easy way to make liteon firmware from the 3 req'd files??

hi

doing a mates liteon, having major probs with jungleflasher locking up my pc, i've extacted the 3 files inquiry,key etc using it fine, just now need to make my hacked firmware.

i've erased the drive etc using dosflash, and can write no probs.

is there a way of me just making the hacked .bin from the 3 files and just sticking it on my usb stick so i can just flash using dosflash?

Jungleflash should only freeze during the erase mate and that's only using VIA card IIRC. When does it freeze for you? What OS?

You could send me the files and I will create a FW and send back if you want.

Yeah that's what I do too, I normally rename the hacked FW and flash using iPrep.

i've run jf and its dumped the 3 files in the dos folder which is in the ixtreme folder on my desktop.

so i have dosflash.exe
l-o-erase.exe
dosflash.typ
identify, inquiry, key.bins
benq, sam, liteon.bins
and a IX15.bin

read a bit that jf should dump a dummy.bin somewhere, but i don't seem to have that file?

is it possible to just make the hacked firmware using the 3 files as is?

I thought the dummy.bin was made when you open the dump files into the first page of jungleflasher but I may be wrong. Can't check right now as I am running 64-bit and it isn't compatible.

If it doesn't freeze on the first page of JF click open dump files and locate your 3 dumped files to make the hacked FW.

It shouldn't crash jungleflasher if you have your drive unplugged so just use jungleflasher, go to the Firmware Tool 32 tab, click load from dump files and select your key, inquiry and identify files. THEN it will ask you to create a dummy file save that wherever. Then you need to do open target f/w select you ix5 one. Next hit spoof source to target then make sure keys look same then do save - that will create your f/w to patch.

cheers fellas now sorted, i'm such a fuckin tard sometimes, did it once and the 360 booted but wouldn't play backups, only then did i realise i hadn't hit the spoof button in the middle of jf:-/

hopefully if i do a third it'll be 3rd time lucky and i'll fly through it
