    Hi I have heard a lot about VW vans, is it safe to get the miles done? the van is under contract hire, is there any way anyone can se eits been donel???

    If I get caught it would be serious shit for me.

    Also what should I be paying

    If anyone can help I would be grateful.

    Hi the Vw van can be done no problem but they do store the original mileage somewhere in the ecu which could cause you problems.If you do decide to get it done check with the dude thats doing it for you and make sure that he has the capability to get into the ecu and remove the original mileage.There is i high chance that the company will never have the vehicle checked for mileage changes but you never no.Prices vary quite a bit for this to be done but if you go to get it done it should only cost you between £50 AND £80.Another thing to watch out for is with Vw,Skoda,Audi,Seat when the mileage is been corrected it can trigger of your engine management lights and if the dude doing the mileage does not no how to rectify this if it happens you could end up with another bill of approx £40 to get someone to turn of the engine management light.I hope this helps.Cheers
