Make sure the Poland map folder is not inside any other folder. What is the name of the folder ?
Try patching & activating it again & if that fails try using a different activation tool (BBSTool is posted on the forum).

It's,- G:/Poland 860.3101
All the .dat .meta etc is inside that directory. (unsure of extensions but no nested directories
What steps are 'patching and activating'?
To clarify.
BBS Tools gives me an "application doesnt exist" error when patching TTS
Sussed that out ( restored otiginal and patched.
Still the same after BBS... Maybe I missed something?
Installed maps through BBS (Maps->Install Maps)
Keygen -> Patch maps (v7/8)
Select Poland mp (Ive tried 2 now) / activate maps cams
Patch TTS
Successful patc h,
reboot.
Nothing

I'm a fucktard, it probably worked every time I tried it (and 6 months ago!)
I thought it would ask me what map I wanted to choose, or enable it in "Navigate To"
Seems I need to switch to Poland manually.
Thanks Russ, sorted.
Excellent guide, too.
Glad you got it all sorted out eventually Oggy
got my bro's tomtom and having a spot of bother. its a tomtom one xl (wide)
he brought it yesterday with "no maps found error"
ive got the device id, copied the navcore contents in this thread to device, copied the maps to a folder called maps with no nesting, activated the maps and the tomtom just hangs/crashes needs a hard reset.
so i installed the backup of the old tomtom originally on, copied maps and patched etc, patched the ttsystem and still getting no maps error or voices. weird one. any help appreciated
det
ps im on win7 64bit but run everything as admin etc

What version of Navcore is on it & what is the map version number ?
If you cant turn it on to find Navcore version - open up file name ttgo using notepad - should see something like this :-
DeviceName=TomTom GO 730
DeviceVersionHW=GO 730
DeviceSerialNumber=J**************
DeviceUniqueID=A**** *****
RamDiskVersion=20080328
BootLoaderVersion=55015
LinuxVersion=164445
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8002
ApplicationVersion=9117
To find map version number - open the MAP_NAME.PNA file (in the map folder) with notepad - like this :-
ID=Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB.pna
438363706
800
build=1762
id=153825
The map folder should have same name as the map & not be in any other folder, or have any sub-folders.
If you copied the Navcore from this thread - did you delete all other files & folders ? (but keeping Map folder, zip folder & can also keep voice folder)
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8083
ApplicationVersion=9669
original and using the navcore from your post with the maps etc.

hi russ thanks for the info one ? how do i find out the id when i am just copying to a memory card foe win ce
Not too sure on a unit with WinCE, but once you have tried to run it there should be a file named either ttgo.bif or ttnavigator.bif - use Notepad to open this file & should find the info you need.
Anyone managed to find the location in Lion??
