Wrong map versions sorry - they are both the version with ALG & IQ Routes & will only work with v8.204 or higher.
Look for v830.2306 or the newer v835.2420 maps

Albert's activation tool & Meta file updated in first post - v0.57.20 -- 02/12/09
Took me a while to find maps that were compatible, but found this recently that came in VERY handy.
It's the updated Map compatibility (copied from another forum).
This, I thought was probably the best post to add it too.
Updated 5th December 2009
Thanks to Tweety39 from another forum for these, I've only copied & pasted his post :-
Which 8.40 Maps with which Features are compatible with which Navcore incl. SE-Navcore:

Which 8.40 Maps are known (Infos from TomTom), and which ones run on which kind of Device PNA / PNA & PDA/PDA & WinCE/PNA-Work with official Navcore:
Latest Tomtom Activation Tool v0.57.21 created by Albert dated 06-12-09 :-
Link updated in first post.
First post now updated with a new guide.
thanks for great guide
Thanks for the Guide, just got a query. I cant see step 6 on the activation tool guide.
I have a secondhand 510(after my last sat nav was stolen). i have upgraded via home to navcore ver 7.9 it has ver 6 maps on it. is Alberts the best tool to use, and do you know will tomtom home still pick up as genuine item.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Step 6 is easy to use to patch your Tomtom Home .dll - see post no 104 in this thread
( http://www.digital-forums.com/showpo...&postcount=104 )
If you patch your Tomtom (the ttsystem file) you will be able to use the latest map - v845.2647. Or you could use the V8.204 navcore from the first post - this is ready patched & then you can use the v845.2645 map which has ALG & IQ Routes. Which ever map you use it will need activating - I always use Albert's Activation Tool to do all my patching & activating.
Then see post 104 to patch Tomtom Home - you can then use the mapshare updates etc. on Tomtom Home.
Thanks for that, i will give it a go.
Hi Russ. I have tried downloading several times your navcore and maps in your first post. But i keep getting files corrupt.
Any way i have decided to keep navcore 7.9 and am looking for maps version 8.2 0r 8.3 that will run on a go 510 with 7.9 navcore. I have heard that there might be some problems, slower guidance etc if upgrading with lane guidance and IQ maps.
Any help with these.
Thanks
Don't know why you're having problems with the Navcore, been nearly 400 downloads of it and your the first that has had a problem - are you using Winzip to extract the files ?
The v845.2647 maps will work with Navcore v7.9** & the UK & RoI map is posted on the forum.
Think maybe because i was using IDM to download, bit flakey sometimes, thanks for the info, and Happy St Davids day. Shame about the Rugby Friday.
This is what i was getting

Seems to me like the OP in this thread is screwed. Links all over the place.
I'm trying to update a TomTom One v4 with a 250MB SD Card.
All it needs is the UK map and whatever Navcore it needs. Anyone able to assist?
Currently has -
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_835_2421 with the Meta. Alberts says activated, but the TomTom says no Maps available.
The Navcore version is - "Installed Items = program/Navigator 7.903, phonedb/connect2internet 15, map/United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland 835.2421"
Are these compatible and should work? Or am I way off track? This stuff still confuses me! lol
This Navcore was downloaded by TomTom Home BTW.
Versions below 8.010 need to have the ttsystem file patched in addition to activating the maps.
Assuming you already have the map you want on the device and it's been activated (I've never used Alberts activator personally) - I prefer BBS tools or even the old Easy use tools which all the newer programs are based on.
Look in Alberts activator tool and see if there's an option to patch the ttsystem file - if there is then get it patched - it will be in the root directory of the device
The links in the first post are just for the activation tool and a copy of navcore v8.204, which I had working on my Go500, and it also works on most other Tomtom units.
You say you have v7.903 on your Tomtom, with this version of Navcore you can use the latest UK & RoI v845.2647 map which is posted in this forum, along with the latest UK & RoI postcode file - v845.
If it is an original Navcore, then the ttsystem file need to be patched. The map also requires activation, you can use Albert's activation tool or most of the other activation tools posted on the forum with do both tasks for you.
All versions of Navcore from v7.*** upward need patching for you to use a copied map.
All sorted guys! Thanks loads!
Just one more thing, it's giving the option for QuickGPSFix. How do I manually install it?
Use Tomtom Home to get the QuickGPS fix along with any other updates such as the mapshare updates. You'll probably have to patch Tomtom home on your PC. This post should help you find the TT Home .dll file -
