Starting from scratch

Hey guys,
after many years got my youngest son a PSP (model 1003 version 4.05). Haven't played with them since the early days. Got myself a 4gb mem stick and a Pandora battery plus the files found on here. Just been playing about and can't get any of this stuff to work for me! Have created the files on the memory stick using PSP Pandora Deluxe v2.5. Whenever I restart the PSP and run one of the files on the stick I get an error 80020148. Cannot get the firmware to downgrade. Anyone point me in the direction of a step by step idiots guide that will take me from unchanged PSP to a nice custom one? I feel like I'm going round in circles

OK, somehow I've managed to downgrade to 1.50. So now need to get one of those custom firmwares on there. Getting an error code 80020001 when I run the 5.00 M33-2 firmware

From firmware 1.5. you can install 3.52 M33, upgrade to 3.52 M33-4, then install 5.00 M33-3 and finally upgrade to 5.00 M33-6

You can't jump straight to 5.00, you have to do it in stages. It's stright forward enough, just a series of upgrades in order as shown above

Any chance someone can post a link to a tutorial/downloads etc that I can pass on to my nephew. He has an original 1.5 PSP and wants to upgrade the firmware.

Follow my migration path and use this site for the knowhow/file links etc
