    Default 2nd Car needs insured

I bought an Audi 80 M reg the other day from a workmate. It was too good a deal to turn down.

I currently have a car which is insured with Adrian Flux. I called them today to get a quote for the Audi and they're quoting me £375! Obviously they can't take in to account my no claims bonus as this is with my first car. While I don't necessary agree with this as I can't drive both cars at the same time I'd appreciate some options from anyone who perhaps has been in a similar predicament?

I think there's a couple of companies that take into account ncd on more than one car - admiral are always harping on about their multicar thing, might be worth giving them a bell?

Can you switch the NCD between cars or will that not make any difference?

It is, but you could look at switching your other insurance

if you don't intend doing over 6000 miles a year in the audi and because it's over 10 years old it might be worth giving carol nash insurance a ring 0800 804 7955.

they do a classic type car insurance for anything over 10 years old that sometimes works out cheap

Thanks for your help. My first car is a 350z so swapping NCD is not an option as my premium will go through the roof! I plan on doing about 12,000mls in the Audi so Carol Nash is not an option either. I'm going to ask my auntie who doesn't have a car but has been driving for years if she wouldn't mind registering the Audi in her name and I'll pay for her insurance then I can use my £50z insurance to drive the Audi 3rd party. That's my intention anyway.
