Free huawei usb dongle / datacard unlocking for df members

following on from a discussion i had in the unlocking forum on this site i have purchased a unlocking dongle for the huawei dongles and datacards that a lot of us own. as you are aware raptor has made an excellent tutorial on unlocking the e220 dongle that may unlock other models too. if your unsure about whether this will work for your model or you just dont fancy doing it then in the spirit of the forum i am willing to unlock df members dongle's for free. all you will need to do is post the dongle to me and enclose enough money for return postage and i will take care of the rest. i hope the mods are ok with this offer and the location of this post, if not please feel free to remove and delete it.

No they aint, a dongle is a hardware protective device for software locking, these in effect are USB modems for mobile networks

yes i know that but the industry has taken term and used it for marketing purposes and to build product awareness

a little like people saying they are going to buy a new hoover when its a vacum cleaner

Are any of them better than the rest? Been meaning to get one for ages now but would like the option of using any sim I choose rather than be locked into one So will buy the one that is classed as the best/fastest (if one exists).

speed will mostly be down to whatever provider is best in your area. For example around here tmobile's 3g is rubbish, o2 aint much better,voda a little better and three the best, but its different everywhere. I've got the option of two, i've got a mobile bb contract with three (£5 pm) and the free internet payg iphone sim from o2 (bought from ebay for 3 quid)

Hold on a mo... Are you saying that PAYG SIM has free internet? So you can just put in the dongle and browse all day for nowt?! And you just top up credit for calls and texts?

the iphone one does and theyre all over ebay.

The free internet goes from the date of your first top up, so will cost you a tenner plus the price of the sim, then thats it for 12 months, free 3g (or edge or gprs) and wifi (the cloud and btopenzone)

i bought this one, as I wanted it unactivated (for the whole 12 months) but you can get them for about 12 quid with the tenner topup already on

How do you make use of teh wifi cloud usage? Just have the modem in with the sim card then connect to the cloud?
