Sorry - no idea, the Display is a very difficult de-solder job however. The 93c56 eeprom is directly under the KM value on the Display, no need to short osc. If you do find details to solder on opposite side to access eeprom be sure to share.
I do have a stripping doc for this model if you want it?
Hi,
the eeprom is 93c46, i can see some test pads on the back and will try to trace them.
can you please send stripping doc to have a look at.
Let me have you email and I will send it.
doesn't matter mate got it sorted without taking off the LCD display
was quite easy really.
located the chip which was towards the top end of the pcb, held up to some light and traced the tracks to the Test Points on the back of the cluster, confirmed pins using meter.
Chip is a S130 (93c46) Pins 1-4 (CS,SK.D1.D0) go to Test Points.
Pin 5 is GND, Pin 8 is Vcc.
Using SW13 cable on Port 0 of 93cX6 board, connect as follows:
TP3 - 2
TP4 - 1
TP2 - 3
TP1 - 4
Pad 1cm below TP1 - Vcc - 8
Gnd (can be found near one of the screws) - 5
takes about 5 mins to do
Thanks for the feedback, let me know if I can be of help in the future.
