I've also got a 5.1 kef egg sound system which is a half decent setup and it's not been switched on for gaming since i bought the turtle beach x4's...

Yeah they are pricey but i can pump the sound up without anoying the wife when she's watchin her weekly soaps...
Well that was my way of justifying spending that amount of cash on them anyways.
The only downside to them is they can't be doing my ears any good...... It feels like i've just stepped out of a night club after a long sesh on cod

They connect from the 360 using the optical link on the av lead and their is another optical link socket to connect it to your amp so u can switch between the both....

The only thing that could be a problem is if you use the hdmi port u will need to remove the outer casing on the av socket as this is needed for the optical link and they both won't fit however it is very easy to remove the casing

I have the earfoce X1's which are wired form the xbox and use the usb socket
I love them, far superior to the bog standard headset.
Allows me to play till late at night without waking everyone up
Wasn't to sure at first, because you own voice seems muffled because you have both ears covered (kept shouting a lot), but I always wear them now and convinced it helps my gameplay ....just a little bit

bought the x1 headset. i play with a few sponsored mates online who prefer them as they are wired and you dont have to keep replacing batteries and such. was impressed as i ordered them and they came the next morning. and that was second class as i didnt pay an extra quid for first class delivery.
so far i think they are ace and well worth 44 quid. my search and destoy game has improved as you can hear everything. i got told to also play a music track and put it on pause. this removes all background game music effects so you can hear your enemies in the next room. would recommend this headset to any serious gamer, especially games such as Call of Duty
