Downgrade 4.0?

Is it possible to do the above

Just updated using the waninkoko 4.0 updater but didn't have the ciso 249 instlled so now i';ve lost the abilitly to play my downloaded vc and wiiware games

I've got homebrew channel installed if that's gonna help

You can install the cISO by running this from the Homebrew Channel (on 4.0)

It is what I did... then I guess you know the rest from the other thread (IOS61_60_shop_usingcios249.zip)

PS: on the second wii I did I only re-installed and patched IOS60

Tried that but i get

Error ret = -1017

Did you use Network install if not the IOS you had on the SD card might be corrupt.
The other option is re-run the 4.0 installer.

Right managed to get this poxy thing sorted once and for all

i used any title deleter and deleted the cios249 then ran the new update released and then the shop update posted here and now everything is doing what it should be doing

welli thought i was billy big bollocks and tried soft modding, i didnt realise my wii was updated to 4.0, probably by someone playing and now the twillight hack is fixed from what i have read. Whats my options now, a proper mod only?

If you want to play back up's then yes you'll have to get it chipped

But if your not desperate then I'm sure they'll find a flaw in 4.0 soon and you'll be able to do what you want

Obviously this is just my opinion and nothing is confirmed
