    Default Whats the best way to do Renault Megane 2006/7

    Hi to all you mileage experts.I have been requested to rectify the mileage on 5 renault meganes.I am using a Tacho universal 2008 and do have the instructions on how where to place the cables etc but due to lack of experience its all to confusing to me.Can anyone tell me the best way to do these etc can it be done by removing the 93c56 chip and write direct to it and replace.The diagram i have shows where most cables go but on one of the diagrams it shows it shows 3 things that connect together near to the eeprom but it does not say if i ust the cables from the tacho or do i connect them together with a seperate wire.Any help is much appreciated..
    P.s due to my lack of experience in this line of business i would be very interested in having some training if there is anyone who does this.Prefer from central scotland to north scotland but would travel further if needed to...Thanks in advance

    Cluster pod just pulls off toward you to reveal a single torx screw. Unplug the single connector plug. Board type is Visteon/Johnsons Controls.

    Depress the large white plastic spring clips on the side of the cluster towards each other and lift it up.

    Carefully unclip the plastic barbs from around the cluster perimeter and remove the glass.

    After recording the dial rest positions with a camera or marking with a pencil, remove the dials using a pair of tea-spoons (to lever them off).

    Seperate the cluster halves carefully and you will find the 93c56 or 24c04 (likely this) eeprom. Remember to use the right board for the right eeprom.

    Remove it and use a MEGANE program that shows the correct Km value. These store in Km so do the math first.

    Km = Miles * 1.6093

    Thanks for the info.I eventually got it sorted by using the clio programme in the tacho rather than megane.Must of tried at least 100 times with the megane programe but nothing hit the clio one once and bingo worked so if anyone else has this problem this may be the answer to it...
